Ayurveda is a 6,000-year-old holistic healing system from India. In Sanskrit, it means ‘Knowledge of Life’ -AYUR = Life, VEDA= Knowledge. It embraces wellbeing from diet, medicine, and massage treatments to Panchakarma (internal cleansing). The main aim is to balance the physical, spiritual and psychological areas, as when a person is out of balance illness and die-ease can occur.

Ayurveda can be used to help treat many conditions and studies have shown specific positive results with acne, obesity, insomnia, digestive complaints and stress.

Ayurvedic massage focuses on cleansing and detoxification, balancing, rejuvenation, and mental wellness to release negative thoughts and psychological stress. It also:

  • increases the vital energy flow from head to foot (Prana-Life energy)
  • stimulates the blood and lymphatic system (Circulation)
  • gives deep and reassuring strokes, opening the body and releasing toxins, tensions, and blockages
  • provides a boost to the immune system

Ayurvedic massage uses warm oils that are chosen to suit you. The massage techniques include tapping, cupping, kneading and squeezing as well as the more traditional massage strokes. The style and flow of the massage is determined by who you are, and what your body needs to bring balance and wellbeing.

Choose from:

Shirobhyanga - A 30-min tension relieving back,neck,shoulder massage. Created to release stresses, strains& tension build up from computer, headaches and migraines. Warm oils are used from Sesame/Almond/Coconut. A powder can also be applied to aid in exfoliation.

Marma Abhyanga - A 60-min full-body massage. Warm oils are applied liberally all over the body, also powder if requested. Marma (energy) points are stimulated to aid in the release of blocked energy and to re-balance. Stimulates the blood and the lymphatic system.

A great all rounder- from deep relaxation, immune booster, as well as calming the mind. This massage WILL release toxins from the body so there is a possibility of feelings and emotions rising.
